The newest member of the Toronto Maple Leafs’ organization is confident he’ll have a shot at the big club next season.
The Leafs signed free agent Nikita Soshnikov to a three-year, entry-level contract on Friday.
The 21-year-old had 14 goals and 32 points in 57 games with Moscow Oblast Atlant of the KHL this season.
The 5-foot-11, 185-pound forward believes with the Leafs going through a rebuild, he could crack the NHL club’s roster.
