It’s fast becoming tradition for Ottawa Senators fans to throw burgers onto the ice in tribute to goaltender Andrew Hammond, who also goes by the nickname “The Hamburglar.” It’s apparently a gesture that Senators rookie forward Curtis Lazar can get behind, although his views might change depending on how things develop over the next few hours.
Lazar was brave enough to grab a hamburger that someone threw onto the ice following Ottawa’s 6-4 victory over Boston and eat it, as you can see below:
“I was hungry, so why not?” Lazar, who specified that the burger was wrapped in plastic, asked TSN’s Ian Mendes.
That burger really could have used some ketchup! Cmon people!!! 🍔🍔🍔 great win for the fellas #sensbaby

Honestly, Curtis Lazar should consider going to get vaccinated in some way. Immediately.
