(Video) PHT Extra: Is extreme parity a good thing for the NHL?

I started thinking about this when I was filling out my March Madness bracket. For those who don’t follow college basketball, undefeated Kentucky is the clear team to beat this year. Not only have the Wildcats won all their games, the score has rarely even been close.

Meanwhile, in the NHL, we’re seeing parity like perhaps no other time in the post-Original Six era. There’s certainly no super team, like the 76-77 Canadiens or 83-84 Oilers.

So...is this a good thing?
