AHL Hershey head coach Troy Mann is convinced that Andre Burakovsky will become a star in the NHL. For now Burakovsky will rejoin Mann in the minors though.

Burakovsky was called up ahead of Friday’s game, but the Washington Capitals announced that his brief NHL stint is over. He had an assist and logged 11:55 minutes in a 4-2 loss to Dallas.

Washington also recalled forward Chris Conner and goaltender Philipp Grubauer.

Conner has 17 goals and 45 points in 47 AHL games in 2014-15. The 31-year-old is a veteran of 178 NHL games and has recorded 22 goals and 50 points over that span.

Grubauer, 23, has been summoned to fill the void left by backup goaltender Justin Peters, who is dealing with a lower-body injury, per the Washington Post. Braden Holtby is likely to start tonight versus Boston (7:30 p.m. ET, NBCSN), which opens the door for Grubauer to potentially play against Buffalo on Monday (7:00 p.m. ET, NBCSN).

Grubauer has a 2.44 GAA and .923 save percentage in 20 career NHL contests.
