Philadelphia Flyers’ defenseman Michael Del Zotto will miss 7-10 days due to an upper body injury, the club announced Sunday.
Brandon Manning, who was recalled by the Flyers on Saturday, will replace Del Zotto in the lineup.
Manning will be paired with Andrew MacDonald tonight as the Flyers visit the New Jersey Devils.
Del Zotto, who had seven goals and 16 points in his last 21 games, played 22:31 while recording three blocked shots in the Flyers’ 3-2 overtime loss to the Boston Bruins on Saturday.
The 24-year-old ranks second on the Flyers in time on ice per game (21:22).
Del Zotto has nine goals and 26 points in 54 games this season.
