Connor McDavid had two goals and three assists– extending his point streak to 25 games– as the Erie Otters doubled up the visiting Barrie Colts 10-5 on Wednesday in Ontario Hockey League action.
The 18-year-old McDavid now has four games this season in which he has produced five or more points. His 39 goals and 107 points in 40 games places him third in league scoring despite missing a month with a hand injury.

All three of those players are draft eligible in 2015 and could go in the top five. (Strome and Marner are likely to be selected immediately after, or very soon after, McDavid, Jack Eichel and Noah Hanifin.)
But back to McDavid -- how does he compare to recent first overall picks?
Well...
Connor McDavid now has 107 points in 40 games or 2.68 points per game. Crosby had 168 in 62 in his draft year or 2.71.
