According to the agent for Patrick Sharp, the Blackhawks will not be dealing the forward prior to Monday’s deadline.
Rick Curran told Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune that he spoke with GM Stan Bowman on Thursday and was assured the Blackhawks have “no intention” of trading Sharp.
The 33-year-old has two years remaining on his five-year, $29.5 million contract, which carries a cap hit of $5.9 million.
Sharp has 10 goals and 22 assists to go along with a minus-13 rating in 49 games this season.
