Boston University standout and 2015 NHL Draft prospect Jack Eichel is in the news.

Eichel, who captured the 2015 Beanpot Trophy following BU’s 4-3 OT win over Northeastern on Monday night, is the subject of a trio of videos featured on The Sports Junkies website, two of which were profiled by Yahoo’s Puck Daddy.

In the first video, Eichel tells the cameraperson to “check back in 12 hours and see where I am.”

In the second video, Eichel gives kudos to the cameraperson for indeed checking back, then proceeds to drink something out of the Beanpot Trophy.

In the third video, Eichel says “Buffalo, I’m coming for ya,” then proceeds to drink something out of a can.

Eichel, 18, is in his freshman year at BU and one of the leading candidates for the Hobey Baker award, given annually to the top collegiate player in the country. He sits atop the NCAA scoring list with 50 points through 30 games, and could become the first freshman to win the Hobey since Paul Kariya did it with the University of Maine in 1993.
