The struggling Chicago Blackhawks will now have to deal with an injury to Patrick Kane.
Kane was hurt in the first period of Tuesday’s game against the Florida Panthers after getting shoved from behind into the boards by Florida’s Alex Petrovic. Kane didn’t play another shift in the period after that, and will not return to the game due to an upper-body injury.
Patrick Kane took a cross-check near the boards and headed to the dressing room in the first period of the Blackhawks’ game against the Florida Panthers on Tuesday night.
Kane was going toward the boards when Florida defenseman Alex Petrovic gave him a push. It wasn’t a big push, but it was enough for Kane to fall awkwardly shoulder-first into the lower boards. Kane got up under his own power but headed right to the dressing room.
Looking at the replay, it appears to be a left wrist or left shoulder injury to #Blackhawks' Patrick Kane.
