The AHL announced two suspensions in the wake of Saturday’s line brawl between the Hershey Bears and Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
Bridgeport defenseman Scott Mayfield has been suspended for six games and Hershey winger Liam O’Brien will sit for three.
As you can see in the video below, Mayfield left the penalty box to fight, and that was after he resisted being put in there in the first place.
O’Brien apparently left the bench during the brawl, but did not engage in a fight.
