The Edmonton Oilers re-upped with a pair of veteran forwards on Friday, agreeing to one-year contract extensions with Rob Klinkhammer and Ryan Hamilton.

UPDATE: Per Edmonton’s 630 CHED radio, it’s $725,000 for Klinkhammer, and Hamilton’s contract is of the two-way variety.

Klinkhammer, 28, came to Edmonton from Pittsburgh in the David Perron trade and has acquitted himself well for the Oilers, averaging over 12 minutes through 18 games while providing a physical edge. The well-traveled journeyman -- he’s played for the Blackhawks, Senators, Coyotes and Penguins -- was in the last of a two-year, $1.25 million deal with a $625,000 cap hit, and was set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

Hamilton, 29, has been less of a factor in Edmonton, appearing in just five games while spending the majority of his time in AHL Oklahoma City. The former Maple Leaf has shown well in recent games, though, and played over 15 minutes in Wednesday’s shootout win over the Bruins.

Like Klinkhammer, Hamilton is in the last of a two-year deal, though his carries an average annual value of $600,000.
