From Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer:

First things first, Kimmo Timonen has to get back into game action for the Philadelphia Flyers. Apparently, that could happen in a couple of weeks. Which would leave less than a couple of weeks (and only four or five games) before the March 2 trade deadline.

Whether he finishes his career with the Flyers or he’s dealt to a contender, at least Timonen is getting the chance to play hockey again after blood clots threatened to end his career.

“I want to come back and hopefully play a game and leave this game with my skates on,” he said. “That’s probably the biggest thing.”
