Devan Dubnyk has proven to be a big acquisition for the Minnesota Wild and he came through again tonight in Minnesota’s 3-0 victory over Chicago.

Dubnyk saved 23 shots to earn his second shutout in three games and his third in eight contests with the Wild. Since Arizona traded Dubnyk to Minnesota, the 28-year-old netminder has led the team to a 6-1-1 record. That’s pushed Minnesota back into contention for a playoff spot with a 24-20-6 record.

As important as his addition has been for Minnesota though, he certainly hasn’t been doing it alone. He had plenty of help tonight for example as his teammates bombarded Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford with 43 shots. Along the way, Jason Zucker capitalized on a long pass to put the puck past Chicago’s netminder:

Mikael Granlund made it 3-0 early in the second period with his fifth goal of the 2014-15 campaign:

Chicago has now lost three of its last four games and has been shutout in back-to-back contests. The Blackhawks will try to right their ship on Friday against Winnipeg.
