For the sake of page views, we’d like to say something outrageous or controversial happened today at the White House. Alas, nothing really did. President Barack Obama said some nice things about the Kings (and also the Galaxy, who were likewise being honored today), he made a few of his customary Chicago sports references, and everyone laughed really hard at his jokes because he’s the POTUS.

The Kings, coming off a 3-1 loss Saturday in Boston, will stay in Washington overnight and face the Capitals tomorrow.
