Carolina Hurricanes’ starter Anton Khudobin didn’t even make it to the four-minute mark tonight against the St. Louis Blues.

Khudobin was replaced by Cam Ward after allowing two goals on the Blues’ first three shots.

David Backes’ 17th of the season was the end for Khudobin.

The 28-year-old entered the game 6-0-0 with a 1.37 goals-against average and a .947 save percentage in his previous seven appearances.

Ward is making his first appearance since a 3-0 loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Jan. 16.
