On Monday, the Los Angeles Kings will visit the White House to be honored by the President of the United States for the second time in three years.

From the NHL:

On Monday, February 2, President Obama will welcome the 2014 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings to honor the team on their Stanley Cup victory.

This visit will continue the tradition begun by President Obama of honoring sports teams for their efforts to give back to their communities.

The Kings last visited the White House in March of 2013, to celebrate their ’12 Cup win. Monday’s visit will have something common with their appearance of two years ago -- the Kings will share their visit with the reigning MLS champion L.A. Galaxy, who were also on hand in 2013 after defeating Houston in the title game.
