Video: ‘Coachable’ Kessel goes from last pick to 2nd overall

KesselToews

Redemption. Sweet, sweet redemption.

On Friday night at the NHL All-Star Fantasy Draft, Phil Kessel went second overall to Team Toews -- a far cry from four years ago, when he suffered the ignominy of going dead last.

“We know that Phil had a tough one a couple years ago, so we wanted him to be at the top end of the draft this year,” Toews said. “A few of us were just talking, and said he was one of the most coachable players out there.”

As the video suggests, the mood is notably lighter for this year’s Fantasy Drafts than previous editions. Players seem to be having an awfully good time, leaving many onlookers wondering just what’s in those cups.
