Jersey-tossing Leafs fans ticketed by police, banned for year

The three fans that threw their Maple Leafs jerseys onto the ice during Monday’s 4-1 loss to Carolina have been punished for their actions, per the Toronto Police:

The incidents, which continued Toronto’s longstanding tradition of chucking stuff on the ice when things don’t go so good, came in the midst of the Leafs’ fifth straight loss. Following the game, Nazem Kadri expressed frustration not just with the jersey throwers, but also ACC personnel.

“I don’t how that happens, what security or the ushers are doing,” Kadri said, per CP24. “It seems like we’re giving the guy an extra couple minutes to flip everybody off and to mock our real fans.”
