Sean Monahan is barely halfway through his second NHL season, yet he’s quickly closing in on a Calgary Flames franchise record for overtime winners, according to the league’s public relations department and Elias Sports Bureau.
The 20-year-old Monahan scored the overtime winner for the Flames on Saturday, as they defeated the San Jose Sharks by a final score of 4-3.
