The Montreal Canadiens assigned goaltender Joey MacDonald to the American Hockey League’s Hamilton Bulldogs.
The transaction likely means Carey Price, who was listed as day-to-day with an upper body injury, will be good to go TUesday when the Canadiens play host to the Nashville Predators.
Price is 23-10-2 in 35 games this season to go along with a 2.19 G.A.A. and a .927 save percentage.
MacDonald, 34, is 6-7-3 while posting a 2.96 G.A.A. and a .902 save percentage in 16 AHL games this season.
