Blackhawks’ Carcillo waives right to an in-person hearing

Chicago Blackhawks forward Dan Carcillo has waived his right to an in-person hearing and will have a phone hearing with the NHL’s Department of Player Safety on Monday.

Carcillo missed Sunday’s game versus the Dallas Stars and is considered suspended until his hearing.

Since he was offered an in-person hearing, Carcillo can be suspended for more than five games.

Carcillo received a minor penalty for a cross-check on Jets’ forward Mathieu Perreault on Friday.
