This is a special time for Rob Blake.
On Saturday, Blake had his No. 4 jersey raised to the rafters at Staples Center, retired along with some of the game’s best, like Marcel Dionne, Luc Robitaille and, of course, Wayne Gretzky. Rogie Vachon and Dave Taylor also have their numbers retired by the Kings.
“The one thing I want to communicate to you: From day one, I wanted to be up there one day,” said Blake in a ceremony prior to the opening faceoff.
