Evander Kane’s shorthanded goal at 7:34 of the third stood to be the game winner as the Winnipeg Jets defeated the Dallas Stars 2-1 Thursday night.

The Jets have now won back to back games and both meetings between the two clubs.

Michael Frolik scored Winnipeg’s other goal while Trevor Daley responded for Dallas.

Anders Lindback made 20 saves in the loss.

With the Jets clinging to a one-goal lead in the second, Ondrej Pavelec made a series of stops to keep his team in it.

Pavelec finished with 46 saves to improve to 11-10-6 on the season.
