Coach Q doesn’t want the Jets ‘thinking they can beat us three times in one season’ at the United Center

In case you’re still not sold on the Winnipeg Jets, consider what they’ve done two times already this season, and hope to do a third time tonight.

Beat the Chicago Blackhawks at the United Center.

Winnipeg’s first win came Nov. 2, when it won 1-0. The second came Dec. 23, a convincing 5-1 victory.

That second loss was particularly frustrating for ‘Hawks coach Joel Quenneville.

“All year long, I think we’ve been in every hockey game except for tonight,” he said at the time.

Today, via Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune, Quenneville was basically channeling the “No one, and I mean no one, comes into our house and pushes around” scene from “Rudy”:

By the way, the Jets played last night in Dallas and Chicago hasn’t played since Sunday, so there’s no excuse for the Blackhawks to come out flat in this one.
