The Arizona Coyotes will don their original kachina-inspired jerseys when they host the Vancouver Canucks on March 5, the club announced today.
The Coyotes wore the above jerseys from 1996, when they relocated to Arizona from Winnipeg, until 2003.
From a 1996 Associated Press article, the logo on the jersey was described as an “upright coyote wearing an extra-long mask styled to resemble a menacing Hopi kachina figure from northern Arizona.”
