Add the case of Jarred Tinordi to a list of reasons for getting rid of staged fighting in hockey.
The Habs prospect was involved in a fight with Andrey Pedan, a Canucks prospect, during an American Hockey League game Friday night between the Hamilton Bulldogs and Utica Comets.
The fight occurred off a face-off in the second period of the Bulldogs’ 3-0 win.
Hamilton announced on Saturday that Tinordi suffered head and facial injuries adding there is no timetable for his return.
The 22-year-old has appeared in nine games with the Canadiens this season registering two assists, seven penalty minutes and a minus-5 rating.
In 25 AHL games Tinordi has three assists, 32 penalty minutes and a minus-1 rating.
