Pastrnak scores twice leading the Bruins over the Flyers

Rookie David Pastrnak scored the first two goals of his young career leading the Boston Bruins to a 3-1 win over the Philadelphia Flyers Saturday afternoon.

Pastrnak’s second of the game stood to be the game winner.

Chris Kelly had the other Bruins goal while Tuukka Rask made 24 saves for the win. Boston has now won three straight for the first time since mid-November (Nov. 15-21).

Claude Giroux had the lone Flyers goal. With his assist on Giroux’s 14th of the season, Jakub Voracek now has 50 points in 42 games.

With the loss, Philadelphia drops to 2-1-0 on its’ four-game home stand, which concludes Monday against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Steve Mason started the game and made five saves, but was replaced by Ray Emery before the midway mark of the first period after suffering a lower body injury.

Emery made 10 saves in the loss.
