Just a follow-up to yesterday’s report that the AHL’s Norfolk Admirals were on the verge of being sold to their parent club, the Anaheim Ducks, and moved west.

According to the Virgina-Pilot newspaper, the team will be relocated to San Diego, where it will play in “a division that would include four other California cities.”

Potential AHL markets in California reportedly include Bakersfield, Ontario, Stockton, and Fresno.

The San Diego team would play at Valley View Casino Center, the former home of the Gulls (WHL, IHL and ECHL).
