With a couple of forwards ready to return from injury, the Blue Jackets placed winger Adam Cracknell on waivers Monday.

Cracknell, 29, was with Los Angeles during the preseason but, after failing to crack the roster, was placed on waivers and claimed by Columbus. He went on to appear in 17 games for the Blue Jackets, scoring one assist with a minus-8 rating while averaging 9:57 TOI per night.

Cracknell’s last game with the club came on New Year’s Eve, when he played 7:24 in a 3-1 win over Minnesota.

Per the Dispatch, it appears as though Mark Letestu and Cam Atkinson are ready to return from their respective ailments. If so, the club would need to make another roster move to clear space.
