Report: Flyers’ violated CBA by traveling on Boxing Day

The Philadelphia Flyers could soon be hearing from the NHL.

According to Sportsnet’s Chris Johnston, the Flyers took a flight from Philadelphia to Nashville at 8:24 p.m. ET on Dec. 26. The Collective Bargaining Agreement states teams are not allowed to travel Dec. 24 to Dec. 26.

Several teams raised red flags by holding informal skates during the mandated holiday break; however, no team was reprimanded.

The Flyers lost to the Nashville Predators on Dec. 27.
