Minnesota center Mikael Granlund underwent successful wrist surgery Monday and will be sidelined for a month, the Wild announced today.

The surgery was to repair a fractured left wrist that Granlund suffered Saturday versus Winnipeg.

The loss of the 22-year-old is a significant one for a Wild team that’s winless in its last five heading into tonight’s rematch with the Jets. Granlund has four goals and 11 assists this season, including the goal and assist he registered in Saturday’s 4-3 overtime defeat.

Minnesota announced last night that it has recalled forwards Tyler Graovac and Brett Sutter from AHL Iowa.

Graovac, a 21-year-old center, is expected to make his NHL debut tonight. He leads Iowa with 12 goals.

“He had a really good training camp for us,” Wild coach Mike Yeo said, per the Star Tribune. “He’s earned the opportunity to come up and show us what he can do. With the Granlund injury, there’s a void to be filled there. Big body, I think a guy who could skate and I’m excited to see how he comes in and performs tonight.”
