Evander Kane out until February with lower-body injury

Winnipeg Jets v San Jose Sharks

SAN JOSE, CA - MARCH 27: Evander Kane #9 of the Winnipeg Jets looks on during a break in play against the San Jose Sharks at SAP Center on March 27, 2014 in San Jose, California.

The Winnipeg Jets are giving the Columbus Blue Jackets some competition in the “another injury? seriously?” department.

From Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun:

The Jets, of course, are already without four of their best defensemen, with Zach Bogosian, Toby Enstrom, Mark Stuart and Jacob Trouba all on injured reserve with various ailments.

Kane has six goals and nine assists in 26 games. The 23-year-old winger missed a number of games earlier this season with a knee injury, plus two more due to a suspension.
