Tuesday is shaping up to be a potentially stellar day for Columbus.

Riding a season-high six-game winning streak, the Jackets will take on the Red Wings tonight with two key lineup additions: Fedor Tyutin, who returns from a 13-game absence with a sprained knee, and Jeremy Morin, acquired from Chicago on Sunday in exchange for Tim Erixon.

Morin will skate on a line with Nick Foligno and Brian Gibbons, per Jackets play-by-play man Jeff Rimer.

Tyutin, one of the club’s alternate captains, will be paired with fellow d-man Dalton Prout.

Both additions could be significant. Columbus’ defense has really been thinned out by injury this season and, prior to getting hurt, Tyutin was averaging over 20 minutes per game.

Morin, meanwhile, will get an immediate opportunity to play in a more offensive role than he saw in Chicago -- Foligno is the club’s leading scorer this season, with 14 goals and 27 points in 28 games, while Gibbons is an effective speedster that had 17 points in 41 games with Pittsburgh last season.
