After hearing police testimony that Slava Voynov punched, kicked, and choked his wife, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Hector M. Guzman ruled today that there’s sufficient evidence for the domestic violence case against the Kings’ defenseman to proceed.
Motions by the defense to dismiss the case and to reduce it to a misdemeanor were rejected.
Voynov will be arraigned Dec. 29.
Also, from the O.C. Register’s Rich Hammond:
Deputy DA indicated that there is evidence of previous domestic violence by Voynov, but he did not present details

Voynov and his legal team declined comment. They're departing in a black SUV surrounded by cameras. #Kings #NHL

The judge didn't allow Voynov's attorneys to enter a letter from Varlamova into evidence saying that the alleged incident was an accident.
