The Chicago Blackhawks could get a boost to their lineup of forwards early next week.

According to a report from the Chicago Sun-Times, veteran forward Patrick Sharp, out since Nov. 4 with a leg injury, could return to the lineup Tuesday, when the Blackhawks take on the New Jersey Devils on the road.

“Every day I get a little bit better, and that’s what’s fun about hockey, is coming to the rink and working hard and seeing the improvements,” the 32-year-old Sharp told the Chicago Sun-Times. “It’s just a matter of time.”

In 13 games, Sharp has three goals and nine points.

Meanwhile, the Blackhawks remain red hot.

Playing their second game in as many nights, the Blackhawks recorded their sixth consecutive victory, thanks to a 3-1 win over their Central Division rivals, the Nashville Predators in what was a physical contest at times. Marian Hossa had a pair of goals, including the winner in the second period.
