New York Islanders defenseman Griffin Reinhart has once again found his name involved in recent trade rumors.
This isn’t the first time, either. In fact, a quick Google search shows Reinhart’s name attached to trade speculation involving the Edmonton Oilers dating back to last spring.
On Friday, Reinhart, selected fourth overall in the 2012 NHL Draft by the Islanders, as well as his agent, and the club all denied in some way through social media that the 20-year-old blue liner had requested a trade.

Griffin Reinhart's agent, Don Meehan, says he has no knowledge of his client requesting a trade from the #Isles. Carry on. Again.

Reinhart, recalled to the NHL due to the big club’s current injury situation on the blue line, has appeared in four regular season games for the Islanders this season. In Thursday’s win over the Ottawa Senators, he received 14:09 of playing time.
