Martin Brodeur is back in the NHL with the St. Louis Blues, and thanks to the magic of the internet, you can bet on how he does.
Online bookmaker Bovada has posted a couple of props related to the 42-year-old’s statistics. Both are over/under wagers. The first sets his goals-against average at 2.20; the second has his save percentage at .910.
Brodeur has a career GAA of 2.24 and a career save percentage of .912. Last season with the Devils, those numbers were 2.51 and .901.
While Jake Allen is expected to start for the Blues tonight in Chicago, it’s possible Brodeur could get the nod tomorrow in Nashville.
“He has a significant challenge, and the challenge is getting up to speed in a league that’s already well underway,” coach Ken Hitchcock said, per the Post-Dispatch. “But if he’s willing to meet this challenge, then let’s give him an opportunity, because he’s earned that opportunity based on his career and everything he’s done. So let’s give him that chance — let’s see.”
