Vancouver Canucks forward Alex Burrows took a skate to the face from Red Wings’ Johan Franzen late in the second period.
Franzen’s skate appeared to cut Burrows somewhere on the left side of his face.
Burrows left the game immediately.
Burrows returned to the game before the end of the second period sporting stitches on his cheek.
