Flyers GM Ron Hextall, on today’s game, a 3-0 loss to the Rangers at home:

“I think the first period was alright, and it seems like we came apart after that. I think our frustration level right now is high, and we’ve got to find a way to flush that out.”

Does the team’s place in the standings make him more likely to make a trade?

“We’re going to make moves that we think are going to benefit the organization long-term, as well as short-term. But there’s no short-term fixes here. I will say this -- this is a better team than (the way) we’re playing right now, and this is a better team than our record is showing. In saying that, our players, we gotta get going here, no doubt about it.”

How happy is he right now?

“I’m not happy at this point. I’m not happy with our record (8-11-3), and I’m not happy with our overall performance.”

So...no trade coming?

“At this point, there’s nothing that’s going to happen. Certainly nothing imminent.”
