The Winnipeg Jets put journeyman forward T.J. Galiardi on waivers Tuesday.
Galiardi, 26, has no points through 17 games this year while averaging 10:29 TOI per night.
The former WHL Calgary standout has fallen on tough times since a banner rookie campaign -- he finished 11th in Calder voting in ’09-10 after scoring 15 goals and 39 points -- and has bounced around organizations recently, playing for four different teams over the last four years.
Galiardi carries a $700,000 cap hit and could get picked up by a team looking to improve its penalty kill (he averages 2:37 shorthanded minutes per game).
If not, he’ll likely be off to Winnipeg’s AHL affiliate in St. John’s.
