The Edmonton Oilers have added some size to their organization, acquiring minor-league center Kellan Lain (no. 54 in the picture) from the Vancouver Canucks, in exchange for center Will Acton.

Lain, 25, stands 6-foot-6 and weighs 210 pounds. The Lake Superior State University product played nine games for the Canucks in 2013-14, scoring once with no assists.

The following video, in an incident you may remember, was Lain’s first shift in the NHL:

So far this season, Lain has played 10 games for AHL Utica, with no goals and one assist.

Acton -- a 27-year-old former teammate of Lain’s at Lake Superior State University -- has appeared in 33 NHL games for the Oilers, recording two goals and three assists.
