Veteran netminder Jeff Deslauriers has inked with Dinamo Riga of the KHL, the club announced on Wednesday.
Deslauriers, 30, was at Los Angeles’ training camp on a PTO earlier this fall but was given his release at the end of September. Prior to his stint with the Kings, the former second-round pick (31st overall) at the 2002 NHL Entry Draft had appeared in 62 career games with the Oilers and Ducks.
His last NHL action came during the 2011-12 campaign, when he appeared in four games for Anaheim. Since then, Deslauriers has spent time in both the Minnesota and Pittsburgh organizations, largely as an American League depth option.
