Kaleta (snow) out for Sabres tonight

Patrick Kaleta

Plenty of teams have lost players to injury and illness this season, but Buffalo has a new one -- snowfall.

With a storm hammering Western New York, the Sabres announced that all of their players were able to make it to the rink for tonight’s game against the Sharks... well, all except forward Patrick Kaleta, who’s snowed in:

Nolan: Everyone on the team is here except Kaleta. Doesn’t look like he can make it in, snowed in pretty good. #SJSvsBUF

Tonight’s game will still be played despite the declaration of a lake effect snow warning, and reports of six feet of potential accumulation in certain areas. Per Nolan, some of Buffalo’s medical staff was also unable to make it to tonight’s game.
