You’re off IR, Bobrovsky!

Good news for Columbus on Friday -- goaltender (and top cop) Sergei Bobrovsky was activated off injured reserve, and will back up Curtis McElhinney tonight when the Jackets take on the Flyers.

In a related move, the club sent Anton Forsberg back to AHL Springfield.

Bobrovsky, who missed the last seven games with a fractured finger, is 4-4-0 this year with a 2.81 goals-against average and .908 save percentage. The former Vezina winner, who’s in the last of his two-year, $11.25 million deal, was in the news recently after ESPN reported that Bobrovsky was offered a contract extension from Columbus prior to the start of the season, but rejected said deal.
