After back-to-back losses, albeit one in a shootout, the Tampa Bay Lightning will be looking to get back on track Saturday against the New York Islanders. They might have to accomplish that without forward Ondrej Palat though.

Palat sustained a lower-body injury in the third period of Thursday’s game and while he managed to return before the end of that contest, he wasn’t available for Friday’s practice.

“He got banged up a little bit toward the end of the [Sharks] game, nothing too serious,” Cooper said, per the Lightning’s website. “A little rest day for him [Friday], so, hopefully, he’s ready for (the Islanders game).”

That being said, Palat’s being described as a game-time decision. The 23-year-old was a Calder Trophy nominee in 2013-14 and has 11 points in 17 games this season.

The Lightning will also be missing Brett Connolly, although he might be back next week.
