Erie Otters’ sniper Connor McDavid has left tonight’s Ontario Hockey League game after receiving a five minute major for fighting and a game misconduct.
However, the bigger concern as Erie Times-News’ reporter Victor Fernandes points out, is McDavid left the game favoring his right hand.

Here is a look at the fight:
According to Fernandes, McDavid missed his target during the fight and hit the glass.
McDavid had a goal and an assist prior to the fight bringing his regular season totals to 16 goals and 51 points through 18 games. According to Fernandes, McDavid left the game with a team trainer.
It’s not the first time McDavid has fought in his Ontario Hockey League career. His first tilt came last month when he dropped the mitts with Liam Maaskant of the Kitchener Rangers.
Update:
Connor McDavid, who injured his hand in a fight tonight, has gone to hospital to get it X-rayed.
