The Anaheim Ducks have announced that Corey Perry has been placed on the injured reserve list.
Anaheim was forced to play without Perry and Ryan Getzlaf on Wednesday because of flu-like symptoms. The Ducks got Getzlaf back for Friday’s game, but Perry has remained on the sidelines.
Perry’s move to the injured reserve list is retroactive, so while it confirms the earlier report that he won’t play tonight against Vancouver, it doesn’t rule him out for Wednesday’s contest.
Despite missing Anaheim’s last two games, Perry is still tied for the league-lead with 11 goals in 13 contests. Without him in the lineup, the Ducks have dropped two straight games, although they did manage to secure a consolation point in each contest.
As previously mentioned, Anaheim has also recalled Mat Clark.
