The Edmonton Oilers added some potential offense to the lineup on Thursday, recalling Iiro Pakarinen from AHL Oklahoma City while sending d-man Martin Marincin down, per TSN.

Pakarinen, originally a Florida draftee that signed with Edmonton in June, has enjoyed good success in his first-ever stint playing North American hockey, scoring five goals and eight points in seven games with the Barons this year. The five goals ties him for the team lead with veteran forward Jason Williams.

Prior to coming over, the 23-year-old had played the last two seasons with HIFK of the Finnish league, scoring 20 goals in 60 games during the ’13-14 campaign.

Pakarinen has also represented Finland at various World Championships; he scored three goals for the silver medal-winning Finnish side at the ’14 Worlds in Belarus shortly before signing with Edmonton.
