The Anaheim Ducks employ two of the best forwards in the league, but neither will be on the ice tonight against the New York Islanders. Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf aren’t available because they’re battling the flu, per the Los Angeles Times’ Helene Elliott.

The duo was sick when they showed up to the Honda Center and were sent home.

Perry leads the league with 11 goals and is tied for fifth place with 15 points in 13 games. Ryan Getzlaf is just behind him with 14 points, including three goals, in 2014-15. The rest of Anaheim has scored just 21 goals in 13 contests.

Winning tonight without Perry and Getzlaf will be a huge challenge for the Ducks. It’s also a golden opportunity for the Islanders, who are trying to stop the bleeding after losing three games in a row and five of their last seven contests.
