The Boston Bruins will be without center David Krejci for the second consecutive game when they take on the Panthers tonight at TD Garden.

Krejci, dealing with a reported lower-body injury, was a late scratch from this weekend’s win over Ottawa -- a game in which his replacement, Matt Fraser, scored twice and finished as the game’s first star.

It’s unclear exactly what’s ailing the Czech forward at the moment, or if it’s related to the undisclosed injury that forced him to miss the first three games of the year. Despite those absences, Krejci has still performed at a point-a-game level this season (nine in nine) and sits second on the team in scoring, trailing only Carl Soderberg (who has 10).

Krejci missing five games already is noteworthy. He’s been remarkably durable over his eight-year career, missing just six games total over the last three seasons.
